The Economics of Style: Cost Per Wear

Not only do we consider the price tag of items we buy, but even more so the cost per wear. That’s why we’ve broken down an average cost per wear for our Salt-Water Sandals so you can see if they’re a worthy investment for your wardrobe.

Picture this: you buy a pair of Salt-Water Sandals and wear them twice a week from May until August. In the first year of owning them that’s about 34 wears. Retailing for £69 for an adult pair of sandals that’s just £2.05 per wear for the first year. Not bad considering they can stand being in and out of water, flat-packed for holidays, worn walking or to weddings and everything in between.

But, that’s not the whole story. Salt-Water Sandals are designed to be durable (we have many stories of sandals lasting over a decade!).

Let’s say you have your sandals for 4 years - wearing them twice a week between May and August that takes the cost per wear down to £0.51! Yup, you read it right – fifty-four pence per wear. And let’s be honest: we all know you won't be able to resist wearing them more. Weekend brunch? Check. Casual workday chic? Double-check. As you wear them more, the cost per wear drops even lower, making Salt-Water Sandals cheaper than a fast-fashion alternative and a solid wardrobe addition.

In a world where fashion is fast, Salt-Water Sandals take the spotlight as a more sustainable, wallet-friendly choice.
